Thanks to you, 2016 was a year of steady growth, and we are excited for what’s to come in 2017. Our new customers last year shared similar challenges before coming to Ross, and it was our ability to work with them that made the difference. These common optics supply chain challenges included:
- Lead times—delivering the quantity you need, when you need it
- Prototype to production path—managing costs at lower volumes
Competitors’ long lead times and cost barriers in manufacturing small quantities caused problems for many customers. Large catalog optics companies and small mom-and-pop optical fabricators alike struggled to effectively move customers from small volume to large volume.
Those customers, ranging from consumer products to medical devices to industrial applications, were surprised at Ross’ willingness to work with them. Our flexible inventory solutions, knowledgeable customer service, and broad optical engineering expertise helped us help our customers. We’re putting our energy into enhancing these same areas this year.
Ross is committed to being a flexible and responsive supply chain partner. You can count on:
- Blanket order philosophy—we’ll work with you to meet your changing inventory needs
- Reliable, cost-effective sourcing—from prototype quantities to hundreds of thousands a year
We’re also exploring expansion of our coating capabilities, new optical materials like crystal optics, and new standard optical product lines, but we know it comes down to this: commitment to the customer.
Happy New Year!
